How to Easily Start Your Very Own Fishing Blog

Guy FIshing

Fishing blogs are a fantastic way to share your passion with family, friends and the rest of the world. There are never enough websites that give us insight about fishing spots and methods. As well as of course the delight of watching amazing photos while not having the time to venture outdoors yourself. Or for some, blogging is just a way to keep record of yearly catch which often enough becomes popular with unintended visitors.

Great thing is that starting out a blog of your own is straight forward and just as fishing does, it’s easy to make good looking! Thanks to the most popular blogging software known as “WordPress”. Anyone is able to make gorgeous looking blogs. Just write your content and add in pictures straight from your digital camera. This is the most basic functionality and that’s really all there is to it.

First you need a place to host your website and for that we have many affordable options. Personally I have used BlueHost WordPress Hosting that is not just super simple to use. It’s also a specialized package that will have the software ready installed and optimized for speed. Going after just some cheap web host is not a good idea in my experience, if sites are running slow you will not have a nice user experience. Especially when you use a lot of pictures for the site.

Here are some things you need to do:

  • Select a theme for your blog which will define the looks of the website
  • Select a website name and the tag line of your blog
  • Start blogging and uploading pictures according to instructions

Also with the hosting package you have a Domain (TLD or Top Level Domain) included for free. So for example if your website name is: Twilight Fisher, then the domain would most likely be something like: “twilightfisher.com”. If you need something else that’s not a .com, .net or .org, you can select the cheapest TLD from another provider. When you register with BlueHost it will ask if you want to use a domain name you already own or if to make a new one with them.

So there you have it. It’s really that simple. All it needs is a push to the right direction to get started on your blogging career. The old times of difficult to run websites is long gone and you can concentrate on what you love to do best. Write with passion about your passion. Also I want to take this opportunity to thank every and each sports or hobby fisher that is blogging and contributing to the much needed variety of information out there. We need you!

If you have any questions at all about starting your blog. Just leave a comment and I am most happy to answer your questions. Thanks!
